Compliance and Regulation

Syren Johnstone is the Executive Director of the University of Hong Kong’s Master of Law in Compliance and Regulation programme as well as a Fellow of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law specialising in regulation of the securities industry, financial services law, listed companies, compliance processes, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, FinTech and joint ventures.

In the Master of Laws in Compliance and Regulation students have the opportunity to study current issues impacting on the financial services sector, such as banking and securities law, wealth management, insurance, money laundering, and to develop a deeper understanding of how domestic and international forces shape the industry.

As part of a leading international financial centre located at the heart of Asia’s financial community, the programme balances theory and practice to strengthen students’ insights on the drivers of global compliance trends as well as providing a solid foundation for their next career step.
