Honorary Fellowship

Strategic External Partnerships for Research Excellence

AIIFL Honorary Fellows are distinguished academics, policymakers, and practitioners who enhance our global research network through sustained collaboration and mutual professional benefit. Through their courtesy affiliation to AIIFL, Honorary Fellows contribute to AIIFL’s mission by forming research partnerships, collaborating on publications, and, more generally, promoting the Institute’s international visibility.

Key Features:

  • Two-year renewable appointments
  • Affiliation usage and ongoing collaboration are typically expected
  • Bi-annual application deadlines (31 March and 30 September) with a streamlined process for renewals

Eligibility: Established scholars and senior practitioners with demonstrated expertise in international financial law or related fields, often based outside Hong Kong, who can contribute meaningfully to AIIFL’s research mission.

AIIFL Visiting Fellowship Programme
Academic Visits for Collaborative Research

AIIFL welcomes visiting scholars for intensive collaboration periods. AIIFL Visiting Fellows are generally self-funded, engage in research collaboration, seminar presentations, and contribute to our intellectual community.

This prestigious Faculty-wide programme supports exceptional early-career scholars for research visits to HKU Law Faculty, with dedicated support for those engaging with AIIFL research areas.
