On his first day as HKMA Chief Executive on October 2, 2019, Eddie Yue highlighted that “HKMA will strengthen the collaboration between banks and technology companies in fostering a more diversified ecosystem for regulatory technology, or RegTech, which will help reduce compliance costs with the aid of technology”.

Regtech is the secret sauce that can assist financial institutions, fintechs and virtual asset service providers alike and many regulators around the world are encouraging adoption of such responsible innovation.

Details of the inaugural World Regtech Summit@HK are as follows:

Date: 5 November 2019 (Tuesday)
Time: 2:00 – 6:00 pm
New Venue: Large Moot Court, 2/F Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Faculty of Law, HKU, Centennial Campus, Pokfulam Road (MTR HKU Station Exit C1)

Directions to venue – Transport via MTR is very easy:

1. alight at the HKU Station at Exit C1
2. proceed to HKU via escalator or lift to the Ground Floor
3. walk past the large HKU signage and turn right
4. walk up the curved stairwell to the reception area/ mini startup booth area
5. proceed up the large staircase to the Large Moot Court
