Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) has authored many influential industry reports on the alternative finance industry in APAC since 2015, many of them led or co-authored by Dr Hungyi Chen who is currently based in Hangzhou.

After a brief introduction of CCAF, Dr Chen will engage in a dialogue with Brian Tang about CCAF’s recent alternative finance and blockchain surveys in Asia Pacific and elsewhere, with insights especially from China. In particular, he will share more about CCAF’s RegTech Benchmarking Survey as well as its new RegSimple regulatory updating tool.

Speaker: Dr Hungyi Chen is Asia-Pacific Region Manager for the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (www.jbs.cam.ac.uk/ccaf). Dr Chen’s research focuses on financial technologies regulation, specifically in crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending and online payment. He leads the Cambridge-World Bank Alternative Finance Data Rankings to provide available market data and analysis of the industry to policymakers and regulators globally.
