University of Hong Kong’s LITE Lab is pleased to invite you to participate in the Global Covid-19 Fintech Market Rapid Assessment Survey. This study is being conducted by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge, in partnership with the World Bank Group and the World Economic Forum.
At LITE Lab@HKU, we are driven to foster law, innovation, technology and entrepreneurship (LITE) and believe that FinTechs can play a vital role both in providing essential financial services and aiding in long-term economic recovery. The generation of timely data and actionable insights through a globally comparable study is critical to highlight this effort and inform evidence-based regulation and policymaking. We are pleased to announce that we strongly support this endeavour and are calling all members of our community to take part in this study!
This study aims to capture responses from 15,000 FinTech firms in over 190 countries around the world with the support of over 150 industry associations and FinTech ecosystem partners. The below survey link is suitable for all FinTechs. Fintech is defined broadly, encompassing advances in technology and changes in business models that have the potential to transform the provision of financial services through the development of innovative instruments, channels and systems.

This iteration of the survey will provide data to enable market participants, regulators and policymakers to take swift, appropriate and evidence-based actions.
The global survey closes on July 31st, 2020. The resultant Global Covid-19 FinTech Market Rapid Assessment Report will be published by September 2020. Your responses will only be analysed by the Cambridge research team, and will be presented in aggregate format by country and model. No individual responses will be divulged. CCAF will acknowledge and thank fintech survey participants in the report with logo display.
