Across the world, we are all facing the challenges of the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis. Schools and universities around the world are closed and almost two billion people – close to a third of the world’s population – is currently restricted to their homes.
Like other universities around the world, the University of Hong Kong is working to provide online learning opportunities and resources for people of any age, across the world.
Online platforms edX and Coursera have many interesting and age-appropriate online courses to keep both primary and secondary school students engaged during the class suspension period in Hong Kong. HKU has developed a number of online courses which anyone, from children to seniors, can enjoy including those covering topics about dinosaurs, Hong Kong cinema, and many others.
In particular, HKU has developed three courses designed to equip students with the skills to understand how finance and technology interact with each other in the financial system. These courses have been developed with everyone in mind, anyone with enquiring minds about the world of finance and technology, from children to young adults, university students, experienced professionals and seniors.
Each course is designed to be interactive and includes video discussions, case studies and assessments presented by leading academics and practitioners from around the world.
